Photo journal of a girls-getaway in Victoria, BC.
Many thanks to our dear Auntie – who was gracious enough to house and entertain us (and let us entertain her – because let’s face it, we’re a riot and an absolute treat to have around).
This gals retreat began with a day of thrifting and wandering through downtown Victoria. We relied heavily on the wisdom of the Aunt when it came to knowing places for good eats and good thrifts. This in turn gave us the most enjoyable as we did not have to use our brains. Not even once.
The cafe Fol Epi stuffed us full of incredible macarons and caffeine infused beverages. Their baking was outrageously good. We picked up bread to go with our dinner – decided (big mistake) we could/should have JUST had bread for dinner.
Our day finished off with a Sister-In-Law-Birthday dinner in. We oohed and aahed at how talented we all are in the kitchen. Stuffed mushrooms, chicken breast stuffed with goat cheese and encrusted with toasted almonds, ceasar-inspired-kale salad and bread. Lots of bread. How the taste buds tingle with the mere thought!
After dinner, we rolled over to the comfy chairs, unbuttoned our jeans, enjoyed some tea and stuffed our faces with cake. A perfect coma to end a perfect day.
